Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) needed in Rochester, NY for a 13-week travel assignment starting 07/06/2026. Weekly pay range: $2,036–$2,154. Hours per week typically 36–48 on 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Evening/Night) with weekends, holidays, on-call and callback as needed. This assignment is in a hospital-level I trauma ED with high patient volume. Guaranteed hours are not guaranteed. Note: This ED assignment requires prior travel ER experience; first-time travel ER nurses are not eligible.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department, including initial triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization of care.
- Monitor telemetry, administer medications, initiate IV therapy, and assist with emergent procedures; manage airway and supplemental oxygen as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient flow, and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record; monitor for changes in patient status and respond appropriately.
- Ensure patient and family education, safety, and infection control throughout the ED encounter.
- Note: This assignment requires prior travel ER experience; first-time travel ER nurses are not eligible.

Requirements
- RN license in New York (NY)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Prior travel ER experience required
- Ability to work in a high-volume, rotating-shift ED with weekend/holiday coverage
