Assistant /Associate Professor Movement Disorder

Position Overview Assistant / Associate Professor – Movement Disorder Department, RWJ – Neurology. The primary responsibility is the clinical care of patients with movement disorders and related neurological conditions. Responsibilities Board‑certified or eligible in neurology; fellowship in movement disorders and New Jersey license. Maintain a full practice of adult movement disorder neurology and see select patients with other neurological conditions as needed. Provide botulinum toxin treatment and evaluate, manage, and program deep brain stimulation and ablative surgery patients, coordinating care with neurosurgery, psychiatry, and other disciplines. Perform night call and weekend inpatient coverage at Barnabas‑Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in rotation with other faculty. Teach and mentor medical students, neurology residents, movement disorder fellows and external rotators, supervise a weekly resident continuity clinic, and provide lectures in inpatient, outpatient, and preclinical settings. Serve as principal or sub‑investigator in clinical trials and publish research consistent with the appointed track. Refer patients to clinical trials and participate in the department’s scholarly activities. Engage in community service, including care for indigent patients and educational outreach with movement disorder topics. Participate in departmental and institutional committees and faculty meetings. Maintain continuing education and board certification in neurology and pertinent subspecialty certifications. Qualifications MD with graduation from an ACGME‑accredited neurology residency. Board certified or eligible in neurology, fellowship in movement disorders or related clinical neurosciences. New Jersey medical license (or eligibility). Rank and track aligned with qualifications.
