Director, Consumer Marketing Team Lead, US HIV Treatments

Merck seeks a Director of U.S. Marketing to lead product marketing strategy and execution for its HIV treatments portfolio. This role involves directing a cross-functional agile team, developing brand strategy, overseeing promotional campaigns, and managing stakeholder relationships across the commercial organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop brand and HCC strategy while serving as market and customer insights subject matter expert
• Design and implement promotional campaigns and marketing solutions addressing complex business challenges
• Build, lead, and mentor high-performing Customer Agile Team with direct reports and cross-functional experts
• Generate actionable insights from multiple data sources to optimize campaigns and define marketing KPIs
• Manage stakeholder relationships, agency partnerships, budget, and contribute to broader portfolio strategy

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical marketing, customer segment marketing, or payer marketing experience
• Proven success developing and executing marketing strategies across clinical, launch, and post-launch phases
• Demonstrated leadership in product positioning, branding, and data-driven decision making
• Strong verbal and written communication with ability to present to internal and external audiences
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, sales, medical, and regulatory teams
• Solid business acumen and fiscal management experience
• Deep knowledge of omnichannel marketing channels and agency management
