Doctor of Medicine | Hematology and Oncology Location: Coos Bay, OR Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Hematology & Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Coos Bay, Oregon Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 4 or 5 days per week, 8:30a – 4:30p Call Ratio: 1:4 Reason for Coverage: Physician retirement/relocations PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: 20% Hematology, 80% Oncology Average Daily Volume: 10-15 FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level 3 EMR System: Epic Support Staff Available: PA/NPs: 2 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Credentialing Timeline: 6-8 weeks REQUIRED PROCEDURES JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified in BOTH Hematology and Oncology Licenses: Active OR license DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: Board Certified Other Qualifications: Clean background/no malpractice, CAQH login and password required, Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privilege, Self-Query NPDB required at time of presentation Duties & Responsibilities Functions as a member of the clinical patient care team performing tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist Provides on-site coverage only Participates in 7 days of call including one weekend, in a 1 in 4 rotation Handles an average of 10-15 patients per day in the outpatient clinic Manages inpatient rounding only when patients are admitted for inpatient chemo
