Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives. Working closely with project managers and cross‑functional teams, this role assists with scheduling, documentation, communication, and resource coordination. The Assistant Project Manager helps monitor project progress, resolve issues, and maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, detail‑oriented, and eager to develop strong project management skills. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and documentation to support effective project execution. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document key decisions and action items. Monitor project progress, update timelines, and report on risks, issues, and performance indicators. Communicate regularly with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment. Track project budgets, resource allocation, and expenditures under the guidance of senior project managers. Support procurement activities, vendor coordination, and contract‑related documentation when required. Maintain project files, documentation logs, and status reports to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Assist in identifying project challenges and contribute to problem‑solving and process improvement. Ensure that all project activities follow organizational procedures and quality standards. Participate in project reviews, evaluations, and lessons‑learned sessions. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in project coordination or administrative support roles. Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Gantt charts, task trackers, collaboration platforms). Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse teams. Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail. Proficiency in productivity software and project management platforms. Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment. Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Strong sense of accountability, reliability, and commitment to delivering quality results.
