Scientist II - Diagnostic Testing

Labcorp seeks a Scientist II to lead development of rapid lateral flow assays for point-of-care diagnostics in Burlington, NC. The role involves defining diagnostic criteria, identifying reagents, verifying test designs, and contributing to technical reports and presentations.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of rapid lateral flow assays for point-of-care applications
- Define diagnostic criteria and identify suitable reagents for assay development
- Verify test designs and execute experimental procedures independently
- Contribute to technical report writing and present data to peers
- Participate in team meetings and may present findings externally
Requirements
- Master's degree with 10+ years immunoassay development experience, or PhD with 3+ years
- 1+ years lateral flow or ELISA sandwich assay experience with blood and saliva samples
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Proficient scientific writing and report contribution abilities
- Experience in regulated laboratory environments
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations effectively
