Elevate your career as a part-time Occupational Therapist working with students in the greater Cleveland area. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact while enjoying excellent work-life balance. In this role, you will support students in a school setting, working just one day per week from August 24th until May 31st. Gain valuable experience addressing a range of OT needs in an educational environment, while also contributing to student growth and independence.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Ohio
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with home health or healthcare-related OT practice is a plus
- Ability to develop and implement individualized plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and support students’ functional skills to promote participation in school activities
- Develop and execute individualized intervention plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with educational teams, parents, and caregivers for effective goal setting
- Provide documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and professional guidelines
- Assist with transitioning and adaptation strategies for students with a variety of abilities
