Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | Travelers will work 2 of 3 major holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a patient load of approximately 5–6 ventilator patients with an expected 35 treatments per 12-hour shift
• Perform and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs), administer respiratory treatments, and manage ventilator settings
• Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; NICU-trained therapists will attend all deliveries and C-sections
• Assist with intubation using Glidescope and Glidescope-GO; independent intubation is not required but assist is expected
• May float to a freestanding ED location approximately 15 minutes away, where the RT may be the sole therapist on site
• Work under the oversight of a Charge RRT on each shift, with an Intensivist in house 24/7

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RRT license required — CRT not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Start dates are not flexible; candidates must be available for the confirmed start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NICU experience preferred; if applicable, NRP certification will also be required and additional NICU orientation day will be provided
• Familiarity with ventilator equipment including Avea, Hamilton C1, Bipap V60, EV300, Aerovo 2 HiFlow, and Zoll backup vents
• Experience in a freestanding or high-acuity emergency department setting
