A growing, project-based services company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a lean, highly visible finance team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with an experienced CFO in a true right-hand capacity within a two-person accounting team.

This role offers broad exposure across the accounting function and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning both day-to-day accounting and more strategic finance support. The Staff Accountant will be involved in full-cycle accounting, including transactional work as well as project-focused financial responsibilities. This position is perfect for someone who wants to learn the business from the ground up, make an impact, and grow over time.

Responsibilities include:

• Full-cycle accounting support from transaction processing through month-end close
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Project billing, invoicing, and customer payment tracking
• Job costing and project-level financial analysis
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Assisting with cash management and daily cash visibility
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes
• Maintaining accurate financial records and improving accounting workflows
• Partnering closely with leadership on ad hoc reporting and operational needs
• Assisting with additional administrative and business-related functions as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Exposure to project billing, job costing, construction, contracting, or other project-based environments is a plus
• Self-starter comfortable working in a small team environment
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership
• Ability to adapt, prioritize, and wear multiple hats
