Accountant General Ledger

Your Tasks General Ledger & Financial Records Prepare and post journal entries Process general cost invoices Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Ensure proper documentation of all accounting procedures Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (US GAAP, Tax GAAP, IFRS) Reconcile accounts and analyze balance sheet variances Deliver financial reports and insights to management and controlling teams Month-End & Year-End Close Execute closing activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Calculate and post accruals and provisions, including provision statementsCalculate CIT and deferred taxes quarterly and manage prepayments Support tax return preparation in collaboration with external tax advisors Compliance & Quality Assurance Monitor AR, AP, and fixed asset accounting Oversee dunning processes and support SOX compliance Participate in quality control of accounting processes Audit & Collaboration Support internal and external audits Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the U.S. and Germany Your Profile Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3–5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, ideally in a multinational or German-based company Experience in the logistics industry is a plus Technical Skills Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, CargoWise) is a plus Soft Skills Analytical mindset with attention to detail Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure Team player with excellent communication skills Flexibility during month‑end close periods Language Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
