Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the emotional, social, and environmental strengths and challenges faced by patients and their families related to their medical conditions.

• Formulate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based social work interventions tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

• Facilitate effective discharge planning by collaborating with the healthcare team and engaging patients and families in the planning process.

• Provide counseling and education to patients and families concerning coping mechanisms associated with illness adaptations and ongoing life challenges.

• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and employ a variety of therapeutic modalities to support patient mental health needs, including individual, group, and family therapies as required.

• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support and resources to patients and families outside of regular business hours.

• Engage in community outreach by presenting educational programs and workshops to foster awareness and support for cancer survivors and their families.

• Act as a resource for other healthcare professionals, helping them understand the psychosocial aspects of patient care.

• Contribute to clinical research and present findings at conferences to enhance knowledge in psychosocial oncology practices.

• Support the orientation, supervision, and evaluation of new clinical social workers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
