GENERAL MANAGER I - LIFE UNIVERSITY

Overview Location: LIFE UNIVERSITY - MARIETTA, GA Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated Food Service General Manager for Life University in Marietta, GA. You will advise and participate in day-to-day food service operations and the account’s financial success, adhering to contract guidelines, Health Department regulations, company standards, and expectations for food quality, freshness, and presentation. Key Responsibilities: Maintain client and customer happiness by ensuring food quality and customer service standards are met consistently. Supervise hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold excellence in service and food quality. Prepare and complete daily, weekly, and financial reports, including those related to food and labor costs. Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards to guarantee the health and safety of customers. Champion strong client relationships to align programs with their objectives, driving satisfaction and retention. Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient dining operations. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree preferred but not required. Six or more years of operational food service management experience. Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation. Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising and developing staff. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively. Outstanding customer service skills with a dedication to maintaining high standards of quality. Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be experienced with computers. ServSafe® Certified.
