Estimating Assistant Location: Matthews, NC Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7: 00 AM - 4: 30 PM | Friday, 7: 00 AM - 12: 00 PM Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimating Assistant to join the team of a well-established steel manufacturing company in Matthews, NC. This role provides administrative and project support to the Estimating, Sales, and Operations teams while helping ensure accurate documentation and smooth order processing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience with data entry, administrative support, order processing, or office coordination. Key Responsibilities Review Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for accuracy and completeness Prepare proposals, change orders, and supporting documentation Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and project records using Microsoft Excel and Word Enter and process sales orders, project files, and administrative documentation Maintain accurate records throughout the order and production process Set up projects in the company's order management system and update information as needed Process order changes and ensure documentation is complete and accurate Assist with weekly reporting and administrative tracking Communicate discrepancies, urgent requests, and project updates to management Provide additional administrative support to the Estimating and Sales teams as needed Qualifications Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Experience with data entry, administrative processes, or order management preferred Basic accounting knowledge is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Dependable, organized, and professional approach to work Preferred Background Candidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply: Administrative Assistant Data Entry Specialist Order Processing Coordinator Accounting Assistant Sales Support Coordinator Manufacturing or construction office support If you are an organized, detail-focused professional looking for an opportunity to grow with a stable manufacturing company Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off #J-18808-Ljbffr AtWork Group
