Fund Accountant

A growing quantitative asset management firm is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its operations and accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fund accounting or mutual fund operations professional to play a critical role in supporting investment products, regulatory reporting, and daily fund administration within a collaborative, high-performing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience working with registered investment products, fund accounting, or investment operations. Position Summary The Fund Accountant will oversee key aspects of fund accounting, NAV oversight, financial reporting, regulatory filings, and operational support for investment portfolios. This role will work closely with internal investment, accounting, and operations teams while coordinating with auditors, custodians, and other external service providers to ensure the accuracy and integrity of fund operations. This position offers broad exposure to asset management operations and is ideal for someone looking to build a long‑term career within the investment management industry. Key Responsibilities Fund Accounting & Operations Review daily NAV calculations and monitor fund accounting activities Reconcile portfolio holdings, cash balances, and accounting records Investigate and resolve valuation or accounting discrepancies Support daily operational processes related to mutual fund administration Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance Prepare and review financial statements, shareholder reports, and regulatory filings Assist with SEC reporting requirements, including periodic fund filings Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for audits and examinations Audit & Service Provider Coordination Serve as a primary point of contact during annual audits and regulatory reviews Coordinate with custodians, fund accountants, auditors, and other third‑party service providers Monitor daily cash flows, trading activity, and operational reconciliations Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with investment, operations, and accounting teams on ongoing initiatives Assist with process improvements and operational efficiencies Support special projects and firm‑wide initiatives as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field 0–3+ years of experience in fund accounting, mutual fund operations, investment operations, or trust administration Experience supporting registered investment products or asset management operations preferred Strong understanding of mutual fund accounting principles and investment operations Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and GAAP accounting standards View the full list of our open positions here: Main Line Search Job Openings #J-18808-Ljbffr
