Job Description
The Executive Sous Chef plays a key leadership role in a fine dining restaurant, overseeing a medium-sized kitchen team of 10 to 30 members. This position focuses on ensuring high-quality food production while maintaining control over food costs, contributing to the overall excellence and profitability of the culinary operation.
Responsibilities
- Manage food cost to maximize profitability
- Oversee food production ensuring quality and consistency
- Lead and supervise a kitchen team of 10-30 staff members
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen
- Collaborate with the executive chef to design menus
- Train and mentor culinary staff to enhance skills and performance
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in culinary arts
