Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients' mental health needs, employing standardized tools and methodologies.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based upon evidence-based practices, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Provide psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and groups, integrating various approaches tailored to specific mental health disorders.

• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including case managers and psychiatrists, to ensure coordinated and effective care for clients.

• Respond promptly to crisis situations, assessing immediate needs, and providing sound interventions while maintaining patient safety and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Tarzana Health Care Inc., you will serve a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. You’ll focus on individuals facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues, ensuring that each client receives respectful and culturally competent care.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold an active independent license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• Possess a master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of rapport and effective therapeutic relationships with a diverse client base.

• Exhibit cultural competence and sensitivity to navigate cultural nuances in therapy effectively.

• Show exceptional organizational skills to ensure comprehensive documentation and timely care delivery.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience working in a community health setting, knowledge of telehealth practices, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems would be advantageous. This role will benefit from previous involvement in multidisciplinary teams and community outreach programs.
