Bookkeeper

$70,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience Summary: As are all employees at Wellen Construction our Bookkeeper is a highly valued employee – our expectation is to have a Great Bookkeeper not a good one. The role of the bookkeeper is vital to the day-to-day success of the Company. Due to the nature of interaction between bookkeeper with all other employees in the company their actions are far reaching. Bookkeepers are expected as are all employees to use the Mission and Vision Statement of the Company as a guiding principle. They report to and work in a Team based environment. They must be able to adhere to procedures and protocols and require others to also do so. Bookkeepers are expected to have meticulous attention, and their work product needs to be very clean and precise. Key responsibilities: Process vendor invoices and biweekly check runs Manage credit card payments and reconciliations Complete bank reconciliations and record AR transactions Support project and property accounting Train employees on Accounts Payable procedures Qualifications: 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Quickbooks Sage 100 Contractor or similar accounting software experience preferred Excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail We offer health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) with company match; paid time off and holidays; professional growth opportunities; and a supportive, team-oriented workplace.
