Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Mount Kisco, NY 10549. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Specific Duties: Prepares exam rooms by disinfecting, stocking, and verifying appropriate medications are available Greetings patients and assist them with signing in and completing paperwork Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous and prompt manner Assists and accompanied patients to exam rooms Interviews patients and records information into the medical record Measures, collects, and records of patient vital signs Performs basic lab testing and other approved tests Prepares specimens for transportation to the lab Assists in the examination and treatment of patients under clinician direction Places to follow-up phone calls to patients Performs other duties as required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of preferred experience High school graduate or GED equivalent Currently, a nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification Current CPR and/or BLS certification Experience with vital signs and basic lab tests (urinalysis, pregnancy tests, etc.) Solid computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Requirements : Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills Knowledge of medical terminology is required The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is required Good communication and customer service skills required Preferred Education.
