Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist – Omaha or Lincoln, NE (Fully In-Office) $25 – $30 per hour + benefits Collections-first AR role with a high-volume book of business. You will spend the majority of your time working insurance carriers, TPAs, and mortgage companies to drive payment. Our client in the Omaha/Lincoln market needs a reliable full-cycle Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist. This seat primarily supports a large portfolio (roughly 100–120 open AR jobs). The work breaks down as ~60% collections, ~25% payment processing, and ~15% reporting, liens, disputes, and light invoicing support. The role is fully in-office. Candidates may report into either the Omaha or Lincoln office. What You Will Own Drive collections through consistent outreach to insurance carriers, TPAs, mortgage companies, adjusters, and customers. Document every follow-up. Process and accurately apply ACH, wire, and other payments in the accounting system. Maintain clear notes so internal teams stay aligned on open balances and next steps. Resolve short pays, disputes, and billing issues by coordinating with project managers and operations. Support lien filings, legal hand-offs, aging reviews, and weekly collections goals. Keep your follow-up list current — nothing sits without action. You will work daily in an internal job/management system and the company’s accounting platform. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) are used constantly.
