Bookkeeper

A well-established accounting and tax services firm is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for its accounting team. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows QuickBooks well, enjoys reconciliations, and takes ownership of their work from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and review transactions in QuickBooks Desktop and Online
- Perform bank, credit card, loan, sales tax, payroll and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries and support general ledger accounting
- Assist with payroll adjustments and sales tax calculations
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Keep detailed records and handle account analysis
- Support general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a professional services or accounting firm setting
- Hands-on experience with payroll and sales tax calculations, double-entry bookkeeping, GL accounting and account analysis
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach
