Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a top healthcare technology client. This candidate will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment execution, and vendor communication. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Sage Intacct and a detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy across financial records while supporting month-end close and audit activities. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to streamline AP operations and improve workflows in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Day-to-Day:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely
• Match invoices to purchase orders, receipts, and documentation
• Enter and code invoices into Sage Intacct
• Process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wires)
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and banking details
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments
• Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and accruals
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper expense coding and approvals
• Use Salesforce for invoice verification and reporting support
• Support external audits with documentation
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
• Contribute to AP process improvements and workflow enhancements

Must-Haves:

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excel
• Formulas (% count)
• X or V lookup
• Pivot tables
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Plusses:

• Experience with Sage Intacct (required or strongly preferred)
• Experience with Salesforce
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience with electronic invoice processing and approval workflows
• Knowledge of sales and use tax requirements
• Experience working in a multi-location or service-based organization
• Understanding of general ledger accounting principles
