Staff Accountant
Robert Half
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with at least 2 years of accounting experience to support month-end close, general ledger activities, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience working within an ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial statements and investigate account variances.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
- Support AP and AR teams as needed.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Generate financial reports for management review.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting procedures.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
