Make an impact supporting students in elementary school settings, providing expertise as a School Psychologist on a flexible, part-time contract basis. This opportunity calls for a skilled professional to serve two welcoming elementary communities each week, dedicating a full day (8 hours) at a Parker campus and an additional day at a Franktown campus. Use your strengths in special education assessment to empower students, teachers, and families with critical insights and effective support.
Desired Skills and Background:
- Valid School Psychologist certification and relevant state licensure
- Prior experience performing assessments in elementary or K-12 school environments
- Expertise in special education processes, documentation, and eligibility evaluations
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, service providers, and families
- Adept at managing time and adapting to the needs of different school sites
- Demonstrated ability to support social-emotional, academic, and behavioral needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive special education assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional evaluations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility for special services and develop effective IEP goals
- Provide consultative services and guidance to school staff regarding student needs and intervention strategies
- Document assessment results, prepare reports, and participate in case conferences as required
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment in both assigned elementary schools
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed
