Vascular Ultrasound Tech II- Per Diem, Morristown NJ

JOB DESCRIPTION

Echo Sonographer II with Level 1+ Strain & Pedoff, Basic 3D, Stress Echo qualifications; Vascular Tech II with 1+ experience in venous insufficiency and/or arterial duplex and/or vein mapping. Includes duties and responsibilities outlined below.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations following established protocols, including verification of patient identity, patient education, and safety monitoring. Complete all clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests, record testing information accurately and timely, and ensure critical results are reported promptly in accordance with policy. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other center personnel; provide recommendations to supervisors on related duties, policies, and procedures. Promote teamwork and demonstrate motivation, enthusiasm, and personal accountability; engage in problem‑solving and request assistance when appropriate. Keep work area clean and orderly; disinfect patient areas after each use and maintain equipment in compliance with infection control policies. Assist with lab opening and closing procedures and notify supervisors of stocking or equipment needs. Identify personal learning needs and participate in in‑service training, departmental meetings, and continuous professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification: Registry through CCI or ARDMS. Training/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Hands‑on experience as a registered sonographer (echo) and/or registered vascular technologist (RVT/RVS). Excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication. Basic computer proficiency.
