Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech II (ECHO)- OP, Per Diem, Morristown

Job Responsibilities Perform comprehensive ultrasound exams following established protocols to verify, plan, set up, execute, and report examinations. Verify patient identity, inform and observe patients during procedures to ensure education, cooperation, and safety. Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Complete clerical tasks related to ultrasound tests, recording all information accurately, completely, and promptly. Ensure critical results are reported promptly and accurately in accordance with policy. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicate in a pleasant and informative manner with physicians, patients, and other center personnel; advise supervisor on related duties, policies, and procedures. Promote teamwork, demonstrate motivation, enthusiasm, accountability, and problem‑solving skills; seek assistance when appropriate and mentor others. Keep work area clean and orderly, assist with stocking and equipment needs, supervise lab opening/closing procedures, and clean equipment per infection control policies. Identify learning needs, attend in‑services, labs, departmental meetings, and continually increase proficiency; suggest efficient techniques and procedures. Position Details Echo Sonographer II – includes skills of Sonographer Level 1+, strain & PSD, basic 3‑D, stress echo. Vascular Technician II – 1+ venous insufficiency and/or arterial duplex and/or vein mapping ± radials; also responsible for assisting with IAC ASE membership, attending conferences, precepting, and completing CVT PACT. Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of an accredited CVT school with focus on echocardiography (CAAHEP accredited preferred). Registry: CCI or ARDMS. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, effective verbal and written communication, basic computer proficiency. Echo Sonographer II: Registered Sonographer status. Vascular Technician II: RVT/RVS certification.
