Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech II Per Diem (ECHO)

Responsibilities Perform comprehensive ultrasound exams, following protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report examinations. Verify patient identity, provide education, and ensure safety. Assist in continuing quality assurance and performance improvement. Complete clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests; record all testing information accurately, completely, and timely. Ensure critical results are reported promptly and accurately per policy. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicate with physicians, patients, and other center personnel in a pleasant and informative manner. Make recommendations to supervisors regarding related duties, policies, and procedures. Enhance teamwork environment by showing motivation, enthusiasm, responsibility, and accountability. Engage in problem‑solving in difficult situations, seek assistance or guidance when appropriate, and accept suggestions positively. Mentor and develop others. Maintain a clean and orderly work area: clean patient areas after each use, assist in maintaining cleanliness in the lab, notify supervisors of stocking or equipment needs or problems, take responsibility for lab opening and closing procedures, and clean and maintain all equipment per Infection Control policies. Identify own learning needs and respond to department needs; attend in‑services, labs, departmental meetings, and strive to increase proficiency in testing and other lab procedures. Suggest new, more efficient, or economical techniques, procedures, and processes. Qualifications Registry through CCI or ARDMS; registered sonographer. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic proficiency with computer systems.
