Payroll Manager

Our client, a growing industrial sector organization, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and strengthen its payroll function. This is a highly visible opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional who brings strong technical expertise, leadership presence, and a high level of professionalism. The Payroll Manager will oversee multi-state, multi-FEIN payroll operations while providing leadership to the existing payroll function and helping establish scalable processes to support continued organizational growth. Key Responsibilities Lead weekly/biweekly payroll processing across multiple FEINs and multiple states . Oversee payroll compliance and ensure accurate, timely processing. Manage payroll within ADP Workforce Now . Support payroll in both union and non-union environments . Oversee certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage requirements. Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the existing payroll function. Strengthen payroll processes, controls, documentation, and overall department structure. Partner with HR and leadership on payroll-related matters, compliance, reporting, and employee inquiries. Help scale payroll operations as the organization grows. Qualifications Required: ADP Workforce Now experience. Must have experience with mid-size to large companies. Strong multi-state and multi-FEIN payroll experience. Experience with weekly and/or biweekly payroll. Experience in a union and non-union environment preferred. Certified payroll reporting (CPR) and prevailing wage experience strongly preferred. CPP certification preferred. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
