Family Law Attorney

We are actively hiring a full-time, direct-hire Associate Family Law Attorney. This is a strictly in-person role, requiring candidates to live within a reasonable commute, ideally within 20 miles of the office. Standard office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though we offer daily flexibility for personal obligations. The firm utilizes a rotating \"Friday flex time\" schedule, allowing you to work from home every other Friday provided you have no court appearances or emergencies. Caseload and Support Structure Attorneys begin with a manageable ramp-up period handling 15 to 20 cases. A fully ramped attorney will handle an average of 30 cases. This is not a high-volume practice where attorneys are expected to juggle 100 cases. You will share support staff, with two paralegals assigned to assist three attorneys. The office includes two board-certified family lawyers available to help navigate highly complex matters. Court appearances will predominantly be in Tarrant County (downtown Fort Worth), with occasional matters in Denton and Dallas counties. Required Experience The ideal candidate will have 2 to 10 years of family law experience, although we are flexible on the exact timeframe. You must have genuine exposure to family law and understand the realities of the practice. Previous jury trial experience in family law is not required. You must be willing to work physically in the office to ensure adequate coverage and not leave staff alone. Compensation and Benefits Base salary ranges from $110,000 to $150,000, heavily dependent on experience. The firm provides a billable hour bonus that kicks in once you reach a 69% minimum billable threshold. For every hour billed over the 69% minimum, you will receive 50% of your specific hourly bill rate. The firm provides a 10% origination bonus for any time billed on cases you bring to the firm, regardless of who bills the time. Benefits include a 401(k) plan.
