About the Position:

Collector – Irvine, CA (In-Office Position Only)

Help Consumer Portfolio Services, Inc. continue to be a leader in the Finance Industry by acting as the Collector who protects and recovers assets, prevents losses, controls delinquent balances, collects delinquent accounts and shows initiative to increase job knowledge.

• Job Type: Full-time
• Hourly Pay: $18.00 -$22.00 with potential to earn an incentive bonus
• Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am -5:00 pm, no weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Protect and recover assets by handling collections on delinquent accounts.
• Prevent losses and control delinquent balances effectively.
• Maintain consistent, professional communication with customers through various channels (phone, chat, email, and text)
• Show initiative to continually learn, grow, and enhance your skills.
• Effectively prioritize and shift focus between tasks as needed, ensuring proper attention to each responsibility without compromising quality.

• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and remain focused on desired results.
• Resilience and determination to achieve results, even when faced with challenges.
• A team-oriented mindset that thrives in a high-energy environment.
• Has a strong work ethic, is dependable, and is always eager to learn.
• Basic math and computer skills, with the ability to type 30+ words per minute.
• Highschool diploma or equivalent experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish (a plus, with additional compensation!).
