Medical Weight Management Advanced Practice Provider Location: Chicago, Illinois Hospital: Rush University Medical Center Department: Bariatric Surgery Work Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0) Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Medical Weight Management Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This role will support Rush system growth initiatives including, but not limited to, access to Midwest Ortho at Rush referrals and virtual specialty care consults. This provider will function independently in their own clinic at up to three clinic locations including: Rush University Medical Center, Oak Brook, Oak Lawn and Hinsdale, IL. Duties & Responsibilities Four, 10-hour or five, 8-hour shifts/week No weekends, no call Report directly to the Department of Surgery Lead APP 100% outpatient Preferred Qualifications Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred, not required. Relevant RN experience may be considered. Preferred candidates have an interest in medical management of obesity and lifestyle medicine and have a strong background in internal medicine or managing chronic health conditions. Position Requirements Nurse Practitioner Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications Physician Assistant Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. Compensation & Benefits Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full‑time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign‑on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
