Accountant requires:
- 2-4 years' accounting/auditing experience
- State government accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or compensatory experience working in the accounting field
- Broad knowledge of federal, state and agency budgeting and fiscal policies and procedures
- Extensive knowledge of agency organization and function
- Thorough knowledge and the ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Thorough knowledge and the ability to apply Generally Accepted Audit Standards and related theories
- GAAP
- Thorough knowledge of Governmental Accounting
- GAAS
- Euna financial & grannts software experience.
- PeopleSoft
DUTIES:
- Reconcile projects
- -Audit project activities from the past to correct the activities by project
- -ProcessJournal Entries as needed
- -Reconcileand request assigned projects to be closed upon completion
- -Engagein comprehensive reviews of financial data
- -Processrevenue transactions within PeopleSoft as needed
- -Reviewand understand Notice of Awards and Grant Requirements as they relate to the reconciliation of grants/projects
