KINE 181 and 181L: Human Anatomy and Physiology Position: Lecturer Semester: Fall 2026 Day/Time: Lecture: Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.; Lab: Tuesdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. Modality: In-person College: College of Education, Health and Human Services Department: Kinesiology The Department of Kinesiology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part‑time lecturer for Fall 2026 to teach KINE 181 and 181L: Human Anatomy and Physiology. Course Description Investigates the structure and function of the human body. Introduces conceptual frameworks that can explain anatomical structures and model physiological processes, including energy transformation, gradients and flow, mechanical and evolutionary constraints, and control principles. Follows energy flow into the body: digestion and urination, circulation, respiration, and metabolism. Introduces ways to evaluate variability, pathology, and performance. Three hours of lecture; 3 WTU. Three hours of laboratory; 2 WTU. Minimum qualifications A master’s degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field. Compliance with California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy; employment must be in California. Preferred qualifications A doctorate or terminal degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field. Higher education teaching experience in the area. Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving the campus community. Salary Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
