Manager, Packaging/Labeling (3rd Shift)

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Manager for Packaging and Labeling operations on the third shift at its Allentown facility supporting clinical trial services. The role oversees primary and secondary packaging operations, managing staff and ensuring compliance with GMP standards, quality requirements, and production targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily packaging operations workflow, productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics
• Train and ensure packaging associates adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and quality standards
• Monitor production data to identify and resolve safety, quality, and productivity issues
• Manage labor resources and scheduling to meet production targets and client timelines
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using company's Practical Process Improvement model

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3-5 years experience in regulated environment (clinical packaging, pharmaceutical, or devices)
• 3-5 years people management and leadership experience
• Thorough understanding of packaging processes, SOPs, and cGMP requirements
• Knowledge of quality systems, engineering principles, and operations management
• Lean manufacturing experience and strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
