HVAC Service Technician

Senior Service TechnicianThe Senior Service Technician's primary function is to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC equipment including but not limited to rooftop unit, split systems, air handlers, condensers, pumps, boilers, fans, cooling towers, VFD's, etc.Stuart Mechanical provides comprehensive commercial and industrial mechanical services throughout Michigan. These HVAC services include sales, service, installation, building/automation/controls, design & builds, and preventative maintenance.Stuart Mechanical is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan and serves the entire state of Michigan. The majority of our work is in the southeastern region. Markets served but not limited to: education, medical, automotive, religious, retail, technological, construction, fitness, property management companies, facility maintenance, etc.QualificationsDemonstrates and models Stuart Mechanical core values7+ years of experience in service, repair, and installation of commercial HVAC equipmentEPA Universal certification requiredAbility to solve a variety of technical issues, including complex "high level" including but not limited to larger tonnage and capacity HVAC equipment (chilled water, DX, hot water, steam), complex systems, automated controls, etc.Ability to read blueprints and schematics to aid in troubleshooting analysisExperience with pneumatic and DDC controls, and computerized building automation system controlsMechanical contractors and/or boiler and refrigeration license is desiredAvailable for after-hours scheduled and/or emergency maintenance/repair functionsResponsibilitiesWork independently, proficiently maintaining, and repairing HVAC equipmentIdentify technical issues and provide solutions on projects, include costs associated, detail estimates of labor and materials, and procure materials required for projectsCoordinate and follow-up with customers regarding any maintenance issues, work orders, or scheduled shut down of equipment for repairs or replacementEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, and suppliersEnsure installations and repairs are in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal costs, regulations, and company directivesIdentify/make recommendations for building improvements to increase energy efficiency, dependability, and performanceMaintain, operate, and secure a company issued vehicle in accordance with company rules.DisclosureOur company is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace that is strives for inclusion.
