Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Blue Pearl, your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a diverse caseload of clients, establishing rapport, and maintaining professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conducting regular sessions to monitor client progress, stability, and upcoming appointments, with consideration for timely discharge when appropriate.

• Developing, implementing, and overseeing individualized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique needs and goals.

• Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes and treatment summaries, in accordance with organizational policies.

• Performing intake assessments to accurately identify client needs and develop initial treatment strategies.
\n
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions each week, employing evidence-based practices tailored to meet clients' needs.

• Participating in individual supervision sessions for professional development and mindfulness of personal growth.

• Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele consists of a diverse population reflective of Jersey City’s rich demographic tapestry. As a counselor with Blue Pearl, you will engage with adults, children, and families experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, family dynamics, and trauma. Your expertise will play a crucial role in empowering clients to navigate their mental health journeys, utilizing therapeutic techniques that promote resilience and coping skills.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in mental health counseling or a related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification.
\n
• At least one year of post-graduate experience working in a clinical outpatient setting.
\n
• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Excel spreadsheets, RMS systems, Outlook, and mental health software like Pimsy.

Blue Pearl Psychiatry and Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 – 90,000 annually. Our compensation model operates on a Fee-for-Service basis, allowing for guaranteed rates paid ahead of collections, ensuring you receive timely remuneration for your professional efforts.
