Application Support AnalystImmediate need for a talented Application Support Analyst with experience in the Telecom Industry. This is an 11+ Months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located Irving, TX. Please review the job description below.Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the SQL Server PostgreSQL, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams.The database supports an enterprise application suite of program management tools.Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.Manage SQL Server PostgreSQL databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.Installation, configuration and upgrading of PostgreSQL Microsoft SQL Server MySQL Oracle server software and related products.Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.Take care of the Database design and implementation.Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).Database tuning and performance monitoring.Application tuning and performance monitoring.Setup and maintain documentation and standards.Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).Work as part of a team and provide 24×7 supports when required.Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.Key Requirements and Technology Experience:Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.Provide standard operation support; validating backup restore, performance monitoring, system availability and evaluating logs.Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to 7+ years MS SQL and PostgreSQL Server Administration experience required.Experience with AWS and Aurora PostgreSQL system services and tools.Experience with AWS and preferable certification in Solutions Architect and/or System Operations Administration.Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory.Our client is a leading Telecom Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
