Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) at Valence Counseling Services, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing ongoing individual, couple, and group therapy sessions tailored to client needs.

• Developing and implementing comprehensive, client-centered treatment plans based on clinical assessments.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment interventions in compliance with clinic and state regulations.

Your client base will reflect the diversity of our community, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health challenges. We prioritize understanding the unique cultural, racial, gender, and socioeconomic factors that influence our clients' mental health, ensuring a holistic approach to therapy that meets their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• A current License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of New York.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related mental health field.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in outpatient or private practice settings.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-informed care.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong clinical documentation abilities.

Valence Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload complexity, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
