Remote Volunteer Cross-Program Evaluator — Believe in Me

With your generosity, we fund youth empowerment programs that provide underserved youth and young people with a safe place to call home, a family that loves them, a feeling of community, and opportunities to learn, build self-esteem, and have fun. Help Believe in Me evaluate and improve programs serving underserved youth and young people across scholarships, community partnerships, iLevelUP, Cougs 4 Kids, and related initiatives. Responsibilities Translate approved program goals and stakeholder questions into practical evaluation plans Define outcomes, indicators, data sources, collection methods, timelines, responsibilities, and limitations Review existing information for quality, representativeness, bias, missingness, and privacy risk Create accessible surveys, interview guides, dashboards, summaries, and learning sessions Use consent, data minimization, de-identification, aggregation, and secure handling Distinguish outputs, outcomes, correlation, contribution, and causation accurately Coordinate with program, data, scholarship, partnership, safeguarding, and leadership owners Avoid research claims, high-stakes profiling, or participant contact outside approved scope Escalate ethical, privacy, safety, bias, or data-quality concerns Qualifications Experience in program evaluation, research, measurement, data analysis, education, social impact, or learning Strong mixed-methods design, survey or interview practice, analysis, visualization, and plain-language reporting Familiarity with youth research ethics, privacy, consent, accessibility, bias, and responsible demographic reporting Graduate training or equivalent applied experience is helpful At least 25 years old and willing to complete background and confidentiality requirements This is a remote, project-based or recurring role available within the United States. Expect approximately 4-8 hours per month.
