Volunteer: Youth Programs Expansion & Partnerships Director

With your generosity, we fund youth empowerment programs that provide underserved youth and young people with a safe place to call home, a family that loves them, a feeling of community, and opportunities to learn, build self-esteem, and have fun. Help Believe in Me expand scholarships, iLevelUP, Cougs 4 Kids, and community partnerships responsibly into new audiences, geographies, and collaborations serving underserved youth and young people. We are seeking a volunteer Program Expansion and Partnerships Director to assess opportunities, build implementation plans, align stakeholders, and guide sustainable growth. Responsibilities Define expansion criteria, readiness questions, evidence needs, risks, and decision gates Research community needs, ecosystem gaps, partners, funding, policy, capacity, and operational requirements Develop expansion proposals, budgets, timelines, partnership models, and success measures Coordinate program, finance, legal/compliance, technology, communications, volunteer, and community input Lead approved partner outreach, negotiation support, pilots, and review cycles Identify safeguarding, privacy, accessibility, licensing, insurance, and data implications Avoid growth commitments before authorized approval and documented readiness Report assumptions, dependencies, risks, findings, and recommendations Qualifications Significant experience in program strategy, partnerships, nonprofit growth, education, youth development, operations, consulting, or community development Strong research, business planning, facilitation, financial, risk, and stakeholder skills Ability to challenge optimistic assumptions and design proportionate pilots Experience leading cross-functional remote teams Washington or multi-region expansion experience is helpful This is a remote, recurring volunteer leadership role available within the United States. Expect approximately 8–12 hours per month.
