Technical Business Systems Analyst

Technical Business Systems AnalystLocation: Irvine, CA (Onsite + In-person interview)OverviewWe are seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong data expertise to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data analysis, ETL processes, and data warehousing, along with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for data-driven initiatives.Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.Work closely with data engineers and developers on data integration and ETL processes using Informatica.Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.Support projects involving data warehouses, data marts, and Master Data Management (MDM).Perform data mapping, data lineage analysis, and impact assessments.Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validate data outputs against business requirements.Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery.Assist in creating documentation including BRDs, FRDs, and data dictionaries.Required Skills & QualificationsStrong proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools.Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension tables).Experience working on Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.Proven experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsExperience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS).Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
