Senior Accounting Manager

Foster City, CAFinance, Places and Build – Accounting /Full-time /HybridZoox's accounting team plays a pivotal role in ensuring Zoox operates efficiently and sustainably by providing accurate financial management, compliance, and strategic insights. We are looking for an Accounting Manager to play a crucial role in managing accounting processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Working closely with the FP&A team to ensure accurate accruals and capitalization. This person is responsible for activities related to the general ledger, month-end close, and annual financial audit. The successful candidate will be dedicated, trustworthy, detail-oriented and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.In this role, you will:Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysisReconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information weeklyPrepare monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenanceAssist team with annual audit and tax filingsConduct regular general ledger maintenanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to insure accuracy in accrualsContinuously assess and improve accounting systems and processesQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar degree8+ years of relevant work experiencePossess a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls processesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPositive attitude, team player and ability to quickly adapt to changesExcellent Excel skillsBonus QualificationsBig four and/or public company accounting experienceSAP, Ariba, Oracle$140,000 - $168,000 a yearBase Salary RangeThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
