Primary Purpose Develop, manage, and evaluate key projects/programs/initiatives from planning to post implementation phases as required. Develop business plans, project charters, and performance metrics in support of business objectives. Ensure organizational alignment with management models and principles and drive the integration of best practices. Perform various assignments including requests for financial and operational reports, data analysis and modeling, business planning, and/or performance measurement. Coordinate quality assurance and/or change management activities with internal and external personnel. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Primary Duties Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of projects, programs, and/or business initiatives. Provide requirements analysis, performance measurement, and quality assurance. Manage scope, schedule, and budget for organizational projects and programs. (20%) Coordinate and report on process/project/initiative assignments. Develop performance indicators and tracking mechanisms to monitor and report results. Prepare, review, and analyze reports, controls, and other financial & operational information for specific projects and initiatives. (20%) Coordinate work plans to implement corrective actions that are identified as a result of performance assessment. (10%) Support the establishment of business plans and objectives across multiple areas / departments. Coordinate with stakeholders on the development of business cases and prioritization of deliverables. (10%) Lead change management activities for projects, programs, and initiatives. Develop and implement training of employees and external personnel for new processes and procedures. Develop and implement effective business readiness procedures. (10%) Participate in process improvement task forces. Provide benchmarking analysis. Prepare status reports to leadership. (10%) Understand business processes and provide guidance for end users. Provide day-to-day client support and conduct diagnostics as necessary to ensure optimal performance. Assist and advise other personnel with responses to internal and external inquiries. (20%) Job Scope Seeking a dynamic and hands-on Drone specialist to help execute the strategic growth of the Drone Program at ComEd. The ideal candidate will blend strategic program execution with technical know-how, governance & oversight and training capabilities, serving as a subject matter expert and driving innovation across ComEd’s utility operations. Serve as an aviation subject matter expert for UxS/Drone operations and compliance, providing guidance and support to pilots, program staff, and internal clients. Support the establishment of business plans and objectives for the UxS department. Develop business cases for new UxS applications and initiatives. Drive integration of UxS operations into utility workflows. Lead development, cost benefit, and risk analyses for new UxS use cases. Manage program budget, schedule, and scope for UxS projects, including planning, execution, and close out. Collaborate with other operating companies and departments to prioritize UxS initiatives and align program objectives with Grid Plan and Exelon strategic goals. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal policies. Lead enforcement of corrective actions for non-compliance and ensure timely resolution of regulatory issues. Develop and deliver drone training programs; establish compliance recovery plans. Lead change management for UxS program expansion and new technology adoption. Develop, track, and report on UxS program metrics with actionable business insights. Prepare financial, operational, and status reports for stakeholders and senior leadership. Develop reporting and analytical tools to support program management and decision making. Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and compliance. Benchmark UxS program performance against aviation and utility industry standards and participate in relevant industry activities. Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting for drone issues. Mentor less experienced and new colleagues to build team capability. Travel across ComEd territory as needed and report to office per business requirements. Work extended hours for coverage during storms or other business emergencies. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field with 4-7 years of related business experience OR in lieu of bachelor's degree, 6-9 years of related business experience. Comprehensive understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes and practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in the specific functional area supported by this position (e.g., electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission and substation, distribution system operations, regulatory and external affairs). Advanced proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, & PowerPoint), and relevant specialized business applications (e.g., project portfolio management, requirements/test management, CIS/CRM, customer self-service, telephony, EPS, EAM, work management, & outage management) to support business needs. Demonstrated business acumen and ability to create value with strong problem solving, analytical/financial, negotiation, and conflict management skills and a willingness to accept increased responsibilities. Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, meet critical deadlines, communicate effectively, and accept accountability of multiple tasks. Customer driven with demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to interact with people of all levels. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including new technology Preferred Qualifications MBA or Master’s degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field. Significant commercial UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Drones-flight experience. Experience supporting electric utility, infrastructure, engineering, asset inspection, construction, surveying, public safety, or similar field operations. Experience delivering pilot training, mentoring programs, or operational readiness initiatives. Experience managing enterprise drone programs, aviation operations, or regulatory compliance programs. Experience supporting advanced UAS operations, including FAA waivers, Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations, or autonomous flight operations. Experience with enterprise drone platforms, flight operations software, GIS, photogrammetry, thermal imaging, LiDAR, mapping, or digital twin technologies. Certification as CAPM, PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar professional certification. Demonstrated strong analytical skills for project evaluation, including economic, financial, risk, and decision analysis. Proficient in business case development and presentation to leadership. Benefits Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $88,800.00/Yr. – $122,100.00/Yr.
