A confidential, well-established New England law firm is seeking a senior-level Trusts and Estates Associate to join its New Hampshire practice. This role supports a busy private client platform focused on sophisticated estate planning, probate and trust administration, and related tax considerations, with the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of client matters while working in a collegial, team-oriented environment.

THE ROLE

• Draft and revise a full range of estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments

• Advise individuals and families on estate planning strategies, charitable planning, and business succession planning

• Manage probate and trust administration matters, including coordination with fiduciaries and beneficiaries

• Identify and analyze federal estate and gift tax considerations that impact planning and administration

• Communicate directly with clients, maintain organized files, and collaborate with colleagues on complex planning and administration issues

Schedule:

Hybrid, in office 4 days per week

Compensation:

Base salary range: $105,000 to $125,000+

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 to 6+ years of trusts and estates experience (flexible depending on overall fit)

• Strong, independent drafting experience with wills and trusts

• Experience with probate and trust administration

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

• Admission in New Hampshire, or ability to be admitted

• Strong research, writing, and client communication skills

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• A small portable book of business (around $100,000+), though not required

• Probate litigation experience

• Experience with business succession planning, charitable planning, and broader estate planning matters

• Strong academic credentials
