Airframe Mechanic

Basic Function Complete maintenance, repair, and modifications on airframe components and assemblies for aircrafts. Responsibilities Perform layout work, measuring, bending, and forming sheet metal in preparation for assembly. Perform corrosion treatment on nacelle panels and structural supports. Able to perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures. Utilize tools as required to shape and form angles and configurations according to blueprint specifications. Perform the assigned maintenance task in accordance with FAA Regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations, customer approved maintenance program, approved or acceptable data. Become familiar with and follow the requirements of this Repair Station Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, advisory circular, manufacturer’s service bulletins and any other required to perform their assigned work. Report any difficulties, uncertainties, unserviceable equipment, or potential safety hazards to their supervisor and observe all safety precautions in the performance of assigned tasks at all times. Disassembly, inspection, and assembly of RR T56/501 engines and QECK’s. Inspection of engine parts and related components. Understand configuration & fits requirements during build. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma/GED & prior airframe repair experience required. Airframe license is strongly preferred. Must have a toolbox. Familiarization with and able to read & interpret engine manuals, drawings/prints, and bulletin compliance. Knowledge of aviation engines and structural components. Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English. Powerplant license and painting experience is a plus.
