A&P Mechanic III - Deploy Only - Contingent on Award

The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.**Responsibilities:*** Lead and execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance projects.* Mentor and guide junior mechanics.* Conduct complex diagnostics and repairs.* Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and compliant with standards.* Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow.* Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.* Promote and enforce safety protocols.**Qualifications You Must Have:*** High school diploma or equivalent.* 3+ years of relevant experience.* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.* Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.* Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.* Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.* Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.* Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.* Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.* Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.* Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.* Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.* Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.* An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required**Qualifications We Prefer:*** Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field.* Extensive experience with specific aircraft models.* Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.* FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.* Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.* Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.**Essential Functions:*** Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.* Hand and finger dexterity to work with small mechanical components and tools.* Ability to work in a noisy environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials.* Ability to travel frequently to customer locations, sometimes on short notice.* Ability to work in a combination of office and field environments.* Ability to read detailed technical manuals, schematics, and computer screens.* Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems accurately.* Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in noisy environments, such as industrial sites or construction areas.* Ability to detect auditory signals from machinery or equipment, which may indicate issues.* Ability to navigate various work environments, including climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and working at heights.* Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for frequent travel to customer locations.* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including repairs, installations, and maintenance.* Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.* Strong awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety guidelines in potentially hazardous environments.* Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and .**IMPORTANT NOTICE:**This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
