Immigration firm is seeking a legal assistant to handle the family-based and consular processing cases in the firm. Must be fluent in Spanish. The position includes, but is not limited, to the following tasks:

• Managing a caseload of family-based immigration cases, including communicating with clients and providing status updates.
• Preparing the following forms: Form I-130, Relative Petition, Form I-485, Adjustment of Status, Form I-864 Affidavit of support, DS-260 Immigrant Visa Applications, Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Form I-601, I-601A, and I-212 Waiver Applications, Form I-129 Fiancée Petition, Form I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions of Lawful Permanent Resident Status, and more.
• Gathering evidence in support, preparing additional evidence packets for interviews and family-based court hearings, and preparing clients for interviews at consulates abroad.
• Translating documents used as supporting evidence for family-based cases.
• All basic office functions such as copying, scanning, opening files, ability to handle multiple phone lines, covering front desk administrative staff during busy period or lunch breaks.

This is a high-paced, exciting role in a collegial work environment. It is rewarding to help clients apply for status to remain in the United States with their family and also help bring family members to the United States lawfully through consular processing.

The requirements are as follows:

• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• At minimum, a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Patience, professionalism, and willingness to learn new things is a must.
• Must be very organized.
• Prior experience is preferred but not required.
