Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary setting focused on high-needs students within a dedicated behavior program. This contract opportunity runs from now through June 8, 2027, offering the chance to influence young learners’ lives in a supportive, collaborative environment. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, with strong agency and district resources available to ensure your success, and a commitment to best practices in special education.
What We’re Seeking:
- Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Experience working with high-needs or behaviorally challenged students, ideally in an elementary setting
- Knowledge of or licensure in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) is highly desirable, especially for travel candidates
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities to partner with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom culture
In This Role, You Will:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with significant emotional and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education and behavior intervention plans
- Maintain organized documentation and data on student progress
- Engage with parents and guardians to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth
- Work closely with agency, district, and campus teams to ensure consistency in behavioral and academic supports
