We are currently looking for a warm, reliable, and highly organized Medical Receptionist / Patient Scheduling Coordinator to be the welcoming voice of our Woodcliff Lake practice! The Role
In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you will be the primary point of contact for our patients. You will manage incoming calls, coordinate provider schedules, and ensure patients get the care and appointments they need seamlessly. What You’ll Do:
- Be the First Impression: Answer incoming calls from patients, hospitals, and pharmacies with a warm, professional, and empathetic demeanor.
- Manage the Schedule: Book, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across our various medical specialties.
- Coordinate Care: Take accurate messages and promptly route urgent clinical questions to the appropriate nurses, medical assistants, or providers.
- Maintain Records: Accurately update patient demographics, insurance information, and pharmacy details in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Support the Team: Assist with general administrative tasks to keep the front office running smoothly and efficiently.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a high-volume receptionist, call center, or customer service role (prior medical office experience is a huge plus!).
- Communication Skills: A confident, friendly phone voice and the ability to speak clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Organization: A fantastic multitasker who can easily navigate computer systems while holding a conversation on the phone.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning and utilizing EMR systems, scheduling software, and basic office applications.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a stable Monday through Friday daytime schedule with absolutely no nights or weekends.
