About the Position

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights). Float required within the hospital system as needed.

• Progressive Care Unit setting with daily census of 34 patients across 44 beds
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Patient population includes adult and geriatric populations
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• First-time travelers welcomed; minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• 13-week assignment with immediate start date

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care experience in PCU/stepdown setting
• Previous telemetry experience required
• Demonstrated experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Proficiency in isolation precautions, IV management, peripheral line care, and oxygen administration
• Experience with rapid response and code team protocols
• Must have worked consistently in specialty within the last 12 months
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or director)

• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing
