Benefits Competitive salary Location Everett, Massachusetts (Hybrid) Experience Level Mid-Senior Level (5+ Years QA Experience) Position Overview The QA Analyst will support and maintain Background Record Check (BRC) applications by performing functional testing, production support, workflow analysis, and quality assurance activities. This role works closely with application teams, Contact Center staff, and BRC business users to ensure application reliability, data integrity, and a high-quality user experience. The ideal candidate possesses strong SQL skills, hands-on testing experience, familiarity with test management tools such as Jira and Xray, and the ability to analyze complex workflows while recommending process and system improvements. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Testing Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. Validate application functionality against business and technical requirements. Ensure systems meet established quality standards and acceptance criteria. Create and maintain testing documentation and test evidence. Test Data Management Design and create complex test datasets to support application testing scenarios. Validate data quality, accuracy, and integrity. Ensure test environments support comprehensive business process validation. Production Support & Issue Resolution Support production applications and troubleshoot reported issues. Assist Contact Center and BRC staff with application-related problems. Investigate defects and collaborate with development teams on resolution. Monitor production issues and verify corrective actions. Workflow Analysis & Process Improvement Analyze existing business workflows and application processes. Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Develop recommendations for enhanced system functionality and performance. Assist with future-state process and system design initiatives. Collaboration & Stakeholder Support Work closely with: Application Development Teams Business Users Contact Center Staff Product Owners Technical Support Teams Participate in requirements reviews and solution discussions. Communicate testing results, risks, and recommendations effectively. Test Management & Documentation Utilize Jira and Xray to manage: Test Cases Test Execution Cycles Defect Tracking Requirements Traceability Maintain testing metrics, status reports, and quality dashboards. Document procedures, findings, and quality assurance standards. Required Qualifications 5+ years of Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience. Strong experience with: Functional Testing Regression Testing Integration Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis. Experience creating and managing complex test data. Experience with Jira and Xray. Understanding of defect management and test lifecycle processes. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience supporting production applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working closely with business and technical teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies. Experience supporting government or regulated applications. Experience with background screening, compliance, or case management systems. Experience with application production support and incident management. Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and QA best practices.
